Ask Ryder to look things up and get things done

Ryder is the AI assistant in HealthRide. Ask it a question, or tell it what to do, like book a trip or record a check. Nothing changes until you approve.

Ryder is like an extra person at the desk. Ask it about your trips, drivers, riders and invoices, or tell it what to do. It never changes anything until you approve it.

Steps

At the top of any page, select the Ryder button, the robot next to the search box. Or press ⌘J on a Mac or Ctrl+J on Windows. Ryder opens on the right side of the page.

Type what you need, like Which invoices are overdue?, and press Enter. Or select an idea under Try one of these. In Chrome, Edge or Safari you can also select the microphone and talk.

Ryder looks it up and answers. Trips show as small cards.

When you ask for a change, Ryder shows a card with exactly what it will do, like Book this trip? with the passenger, pickup time, route, ride type and payment. Check every line.

Select Approve to make the change, or Deny to stop it. Ryder then tells you what happened.

If something isn’t clear, like who pays or which address you meant, Ryder asks before it goes on.

What you can ask

To Ask Ryder
See your day “What’s on today’s schedule?” or “Who still needs a driver today?”
Find a ride “When is Mary Johnson’s next ride?”
Book a trip “Book Mary Johnson from home to 1500 SW 1st Ave, Ocala, tomorrow at 9 AM.” or “Book her Tuesday ride again for Friday.”
Change or cancel a trip “Move Mary’s pickup tomorrow to 10:30 AM.” or “Cancel Mary’s Friday ride. She’s in the hospital.”
Give a ride to a driver “Who can take Mary’s 2 PM ride?” then “Give it to Luis Ortega.”
Pick up a will-call rider “Mary is done at dialysis.”
Answer ride requests “Any new ride requests?” then “Accept the one for Mary.”
Look up an invoice “What’s on invoice INV-0042?” or “Which invoices are overdue?”
Bill a payer “Make an invoice for Oak Hill Senior Living for last week’s rides.” then “Email it to them.”
Record a payment “We got check 1187 for INV-0042.”
Add a passenger “Add a new passenger, John Smith, (352) 555-0199.”
Write a note “Write a reminder text for Mary’s pickup tomorrow.” Ryder writes it, and you send it yourself.

Good to know

  • Ryder can only do what you can do. It works with your role. If your role can’t book trips, Ryder can’t book them for you.
  • It books one ride at a time, from pickup to drop-off. For a round trip, ask for the ride home next.
  • What Ryder can’t do yet: set up repeating trips, shifts or settings, message drivers or text riders. To plan the whole day, use Ryder Go. For how-to questions, search this knowledge base.
  • Your conversation stays open while you move between pages. To start fresh, select the pencil button at the top of the Ryder panel.
  • Ryder is in the driver app too, for anyone who can book trips there. Tap Dispatch tools, then Ryder, and say or type the trip.
