Importing your data

Switching from another system

When you import files exported from Bambi, MediRoutes, RoutingBox, TripMaster, MTM, or Modivcare, pick that system under Source so HealthRide reuses your column matching for its files and updates existing records instead of duplicating them if you import again.

Moving from another dispatch system? You do not need to retype your rosters. Export them from your old system as CSV files, then import them into HealthRide.

The one thing to get right is the Source dropdown on the upload screen. Picking your old system does two things. Once you confirm the column matching for one of its files, HealthRide saves it for that system, so the next file with the same layout is matched for you. And when the file has an ID column from the old system, HealthRide remembers which record each ID became — so importing the same file again updates your records instead of creating duplicates.

In your old system, export each roster as a CSV file: passengers, drivers, vehicles, and facilities. Most systems have an export or download option on each list.

In HealthRide, go to Settings, then Imports & Exports.

Choose the Import type that matches the file, then under Source pick your old system. The options are Bambi, MediRoutes, RoutingBox, TripMaster, MTM, and Modivcare. If your system is not listed, choose Unknown CSV — the import works the same way, and HealthRide still matches columns by their names.

Upload and review the file as usual. Import one file at a time, one record type per file.

If some rows come back invalid, fix them in the exported spreadsheet and upload it again with the same Import type and Source. As long as the file has an ID column from your old system, records that were already imported are updated, not duplicated.

What next? Import from a spreadsheet.
